Reviews and Ratings
The hotel has a very convenient location, just a short walk from the center of Swanage. The room I stayed in was well-decorated and quite spacious, but the bed could have been more comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding, and while the staff was friendly, some aspects of the service left room for improvement. Overall, it felt a bit pricey for the experience, especially with housekeeping mishaps.
The hotel is a large Victorian building with a lot of charm, located just a couple of minutes from the center of Swanage. While my room had a lovely view of the bay, it felt outdated and could definitely use some updating. The breakfast was generally good, but the dining area seemed a bit average. I had an unfortunate surprise with the automatic payment policy, which was inconvenient. Overall, it's a decent choice for a short stay, but not without its issues.
This hotel offers a charming blend of character and comfort, making for a relaxing stay. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped, and the location is perfect for exploring nearby attractions. While the dining options include a decent breakfast, a bit more variety could elevate the experience. Overall, it's a great choice for a peaceful getaway, although some aspects may feel dated.
The hotel is conveniently located right on the high street, making it easy to access various restaurants and shops. Our room was spacious and comfortable, though a bit dark due to a small window. The breakfast was well-cooked but could use a few more options. Overall, it served as a great base for exploring Swanage, especially with its easy parking availability.
The Purbeck House Hotel is a beautiful Victorian gem, offering a quaint atmosphere and spacious rooms steeped in character. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, especially the historical decor and well-preserved features. However, the entrance to the car park can be a bit tricky, so those with larger vehicles should be cautious. Overall, it was great value for money considering the quality of the accommodations and the delightful breakfast offerings.
